British singer Cheryl Cole's malaria death scare, thought she would die was so convinced she was "going to die" during her malaria battle earlier this year (10) she drew up her will.

The Girls Aloud star was forced to take time out from her role as a judge on Simon Cowell's U.K. talent show The X Factor after contracting the disease on a trip to Tanzania in June (10).

Fans worried for her health after she collapsed at a photoshoot in July (10) and was admitted to an intensive care unit at a London hospital, and the singer admits she began dividing up her possessions as she prepared for the worst.

Cole has since recovered - but insists she was suffering so badly at the height of her illness she hoped for a quick death.

She tells Piers Morgan, "I thought I was going to die, I actually thought I was going to die. I thought if I’m going to die I want to die soon because I was in so much pain."

The interview is due to air in the U.K. on 23 October (10).
