Hollywood star Eddie Murphy has fuelled speculation he is planning to wed girlfriend Tracey Edmonds by presenting her with an engagement ring. The Beverly Hills Cop star has allegedly given his film producer partner - who he has been dating since last year (06) - a yellow diamond Cartier sparkler. The pair were rumoured to have split earlier this month (Jul04) after Murphy was named as the father of Spice Girl Melanie Brown's three-month-old child Angel Iris, however Edmonds denied the claims of the break-up, branding them "absolutely not true". Murphy publicly dumped Melanie Brown after she had just announced that she was pregnant with Murphy's child and began dating Edmonds.Murphy claimed that the press were jumping to conclusions when it was suggested that he was the father of Brown's baby. The actor refused to take responsibility until it was proved that he was the child's biological father.However last week Brown claimed that the child was planned and she had come off her contraception to begin a family with the actor.
