Gary Collins and his wife have separated as she battles cancer.
Former Miss America Mary Ann Mobley is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, according to TMZ.com, and the couple has decided it's time for a break.
She filed for legal separation on Monday. Nobody else is involved in the split.
Collins has experienced a series of personal problems in recent years - he has been arrested three times and convicted twice for drink driving.
In January a charge of leaving a restuarant in Mississippi without paying was dismissed.
