Jet Li and Natalie Portman To Star In Martial Art Snow White

Martial arts superstar Jet Li is teaming up with Natalie Portman for a Kung-Fu version of classic fairytale Snow White, according to internet reports. Movie site Asian Popcorn claims director Yuen Woo-ping is overseeing the project, which "is set thousands of years after the original Snow White story, when the princess has reincarnated into a young woman, played by Natalie Portman".Jet Li is reported to play the leader of seven warriors dispatched by the Shaolin temple in central China to protect Snow White and seven magical mirror fragments from her evil stepmother.Li has made his name as a martial art cator starring in movies Romeo Must Die and the commercially and critically acclaimed hero in 2002.He left the martial aart movie however to sar in Unleashed in 2005 alongside Morgan Freeman and Bob Hoskins.Li is set to star alongside brit actor Jason Statham in War,an action thriller movie, due out in August.The actor has also began filming The Forbidden Kingdom with fellow martial arts actor Jackie Chan.
