Matthew Perry attempts to stop the abuse of prescription drugs
0Comments | Comment on this Article
Matthew Perry has met with U.S. government officials to discuss measures that will put an end to the abuse of prescription drugs.
The former Friends actor checked into rehab for the third time in May in an ongoing battle with drug issues, and he is using his own experiences with addiction to draw attention to the problems and aid others who may be struggling with similar issues.
Perry shared his concerns with White House representatives from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) during a discussion on Monday.
In a post on his Twitter, he writes: "Just had a great session with folks from @ondcp to talk about how to reduce prescription drug abuse in America."
