Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas put an end to his actress wife Catherine Zeta-Jones' desire to have another baby by buying her a new puppy.

The couple married in 2000 and share two children, Dylan, nine, and Carys, six - but 40-year-old Zeta-Jones admits she's longed to add a third baby to the family.

Douglas, 65, has another son, Cameron, 31, from his marriage to Diandra Luker and was not too keen on the Welsh beauty's idea - so promptly decided to pay up for a pup.

Zeta-Jones tells America's Us Weekly magazine, "I said to him, 'Darling, I really want another baby. Or a puppy.' A puppy came by FedEx so quick."

Douglas is back on the big screen later this year with Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, which reunites him with filmmaker Oliver Stone.

He's returning to the role of Gordon Gekko, the role that brought him his Best Actor Oscar.

Catherine Zeta Jones has worked sparingly over the last couple of years but The Rebound and Cleo are on the horizon.
