A Spanish judge has officially ruled Stephen Gately died of natural causes, three months after his tragic death.
The 33 year old was found dead in October (09) at the Majorca, Spain home he shared with partner Andrew Cowles.
Initial reports suggested the Boyzone star's death stemmed from a night of heavy drinking and drug taking.
But despite the fact the star had drunk a large quantity of alcohol and smoked marijuana the night of his death, a pathologist ruled his demise was due to natural causes.
He suffered pulmonary oedema - a build-up of fluid on the lungs - which was brought on by an undiagnosed heart condition.
Judge Carmen Abrines ruled the death a natural one in a Majorca, Spain courthouse and closed the case, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. )
