Where in the world are the celebrities?

Yesterday was day two of the Sundance Film Festival, and sure, there was film talk, but everyone was gabbing about two A-listers who weren't here--Justin Timberlake and Lindsay Lohan.Depending on whom you believe, J.T. is either coming in today or tomorrow to promote his flick Black Snake Moan. More big buzz about J.T. is he’s going to perform tomorrow at the nightly MySpace party at Tao. Or...others tell me he won’t be hitting the stage until Wednesday night after his movie premieres. We'll see. Then there’s Lohan. Chapter 27, her movie about John Lennon's killer, screens on Thursday, with a party to follow at the Airbourne Lounge. Her rep tells me she’s not coming, but one party planner is quite emphatic. "Believe me, she’s coming," he says. "She’ll be here."Just the other day, I told you about rumors of Leonardo DiCaprio coming along with his model girlfriend, Bar Refaeli. The superstar’s rep assures me they will not be attending because he’s off on a movie promotional blitz in Europe.I also heard this morning that Dave Matthews may perform at the Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition's Cafe Brilliant. That is sure to be a hot ticket. While everyone awaits the arrival of the A-listers, there have been some recognizable faces making the rounds already.Newly single O.C. babe Adam Brody arrived yesterday. He was spotted in the early evening at the Marquee Lounge, picking up a bunch of Lacoste shirts. Nick Nolte was there, too, snagging a Polaroid camera.

I stopped by the Premiere Magazine Lounge for Delirious and ran into 90210 alum Ian Ziering and celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch. As I was leaving, Steve Buscemi was being bombarded by fans clamoring for a photo with the indie icon.

Later on, Premiere hosted a soiree for Snow Angels. Unfortunately, star Kate Beckinsale was a no-show. She couldn’t make it to the festival, because she’s at home sick in bed.

After a couple of friends and I had dinner at Bandits, we wandered about Main Street, where you can quite literally bump into celebs. However, there seemed to be more paparazzi, publicists and tabloid reporters than boldfaced names.

If nothing else, there’s always Dustin Diamond. You know, Screech from Saved by the Bell, as well as the star of a recently released sex tape. He was spotted Thursday morning at the Park City Airport.

I also heard that Sean "Diddy" Combs was expected last night at MySpace at Tao. A fellow festgoer snipped, "What is he doing here? Really, shouldn’t he be home with his new baby twins?"

Hmmm...people get a little cranky when they're A-lister deprived.
