Thurman stalker wants charges reduced

A man convicted of stalking Uma Thurman wants a judge to reduce new charges accusing him of breaching a protective order by attempting to contact the Kill Bill star.

A lawyer for Jack Jordan, who was convicted of stalking the actress in 2008, told a New York court on Wednesday that a felony criminal contempt charge against his client should be dismissed.

He argued that the charge wasn't justified since the 39 year old only wanted to talk to Thurman and did not make any threats while trying to get in touch.

A judge has yet to make a decision on the matter.

Jordan was arrested in November after violating a restraining order by calling Thurman's cell and New York office phone, prompting her to lodge a complaint with police.
