Tobey Maguire's pregnant wife Jennifer Meyer is expecting a baby boy, according to spies who spotted the couple shopping for blue accessories.

The Spider-Man star's spokeswoman confirmed last November that the couple was expecting a little brother or sister for their two-year-old daughter Ruby.

Neither have spoken openly about the upcoming new arrival, or what gender they are expecting - but the family was spotted late last month shopping for a blue-coloured crib, sheets, clothes and other baby accessories in Sherman Oaks, California.

An onlooker tells Star magazine, "Jen seemed really excited about shopping for everything."
