To be perfectly honest, I think Katie Price has enough kids to be going on with at the moment, and I very much doubt adding one from Alex Reid would help to sort out their doomed married.
There's no secret that the pair we're keen to get Katie 'Reidinated' this time last year, but after months of failed attempts, it seems that Katie is at the end of her tether and refused to have IVF treatment.
According to reports, Katie has already tried IVF twice in a desperate bid to have kids with her husband, but she just couldn’t face a third attempt, and her refusal has left poor old Alex "destroyed".
Apparently, Katie battled through her phobia of needles for the first two attempts, but she just couldn’t face another course of treatment, which led to a massive row between the couple, who are allegedly living in in separate wings of their Surrey mansion.
A friend told The Sun: "There were many factors to this circus of a marriage falling apart. Alex so desperately wanted to become a dad and believed they were still working on this. But few people understand how gruelling IVF is.
Katie underwent hell twice to try and have Alex's baby. She simply couldn't do it for a third time, but didn't have the heart to tell him straight away. When it eventually came out he was destroyed. There was a row to end all rows. As it stands they are living in separate parts of their house."
Katie first tried IVF last year, but sadly only nine of her eggs had taken instead of a hoped-for 12 or 13, then the couple tried a second, private treatment, which Katie discussed in her autobiography You Only Live Once: "I convinced myself I was having twins. Then I started experiencing stomach cramps and bleeding. Alex and I had been so hopeful, so excited, and now all our dreams were dashed."
She also told of a call to her husband where he asked if she loved him less because they were finding it so difficult to have a child together. She said: "I told him, 'Alex, don't EVER think like that. I love you. We will have a baby one day; we'll do whatever it takes'."
Sadly for Alex though, rumour has it that Katie can't take it anymore and as he looked sombre yesterday as he left their home, Katie remained in discussions with her representatives about releasing a statement regarding the marriage.
