Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll definitely have heard about Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox’s highly-publicised relationship, and that isn’t just by chance - let’s just say they aren’t conventional.
Instead of giving Fox a standard ring and then going out to celebrate their engagement or, keeping it low key with a quiet night in – he custom designed a ring of two halves with one half being her birthstone of emerald and the other as a diamond for his birthstone... oh, and they drank each other's blood.

March 2020
The pair met on the set of a film they were both featuring in called Midnight in the Switchgrass. Like the rest of the world the production was shut down due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, but it was rumoured they were still spending a lot of time together despite the halt to filming.
May 2020
Although it wasn’t made official yet, MGK and Fox had all but announced they were together. They were spotted getting a takeaway in Calabasas, California before the actress’ estranged husband Brian Austin Green, whom she shares three children with, confirmed they had been on a break since December 2019 in his podcast and posted a cryptic message on Instagram referencing butterflies feeling smothered – doesn’t take a genius.
Then things turned up a notch when Fox played Kelly’s girlfriend in the music video for his song My Bloody Valentine.
June 2020
After paparazzi images of the couple emerged of them holding hands and kissing after they spent the night at a bar it was pretty much confirmed, albeit not on Instagram, that they were together. Sources revealed that they were calling each other their boyfriend and girlfriend and MGK even tweeted a lyric from My Bloody Valentine which seemed like it was aimed towards Fox, writing “’I’m calling you girlfriend, what the f**k’, life imitated art on that one.”
That was before they shared a picture of their identical manicures from the music video of the song.
July 2020
The hottest couple in Hollywood finally went Instagram official, with MGK captioning a black and white picture of the two: “Waited for eternity to find you again.” They also had their own version of a Love Actually scene when they were pictured kissing at Los Angeles Airport. And it seems that couples who do media duties together stay together as they appeared on a podcast called Give Them Lala…With Randall where they spoke about having a special connection and being two halves of the same soul.
August 2020
Now it was Megan’s turn to spread the news about her new boyfriend as she also posted a black and white picture of the pair, but she captioned it: “Achingly beautiful boy…my heart is yours.” Not everyone was thrilled about this announcement, especially her ex Green who used the same caption to go alongside a picture of the children they share together.
September 2020
Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, opened up to radio host Howard Stern about how he thought he’d found true love with Fox and realised it when he made eye contact with her for the first time. MGK also met the New Girl star’s kids in his month, another huge milestone for the couple.
March 2021
Fox and Kelly, who have been rivalling Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian for the title of the most popular and outrageous couple of the moment, had a double date night with the pair at UFC event in Las Vegas.
May 2021
The pair shut the red carpet down at the Billboard Music Awards as soon as they arrived as Fox was wearing a barely there cut out dress while Kelly donned a necklace which contained Megan’s blood and fashioned a black tongue – how do we know it was black? Well the pair licked each other in front of the cameras. This month apparently also marked one year since the actress told the musician that she loved him.
September 2021
Fox and MGK attended the VMA awards where Megan wore her sheer dress at the request of Kelly and she nicknamed him ‘Daddy’ in an Instagram caption illustrating the pair’s outfits from the award ceremony.
October 2021
When the couple were shooting the cover of British GQ Style they gave us all a look into their relationship and how they first met, with Kelly allegedly breathing on Fox and telling her “I am weed.”
January 2022
Just three months after their friends Kourtney and Travis got engaged, Machine Gun Kelly got down on one knee and popped the question under a banyan tree where they had previously drunk each other’s blood in July 2020. Megan said yes – and then they drank each other’s blood again, because apparently that’s what the most popular couple in Hollywood does. Let’s hope it doesn’t catch on and people start hosting blood drinking ceremonies instead of engagement parties or else teeth whitening companies are going to have a ball.
