To get into the Lion King spirit this Wednesday afternoon - here are seven celebrity cats. They’re not all actual animals, but this is a seven celebrity topic we can really get our claws into.

Smelly Cat

If you don’t know all the words to Smelly Cat, are you really a true F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan?

Larry the cat

The famous Downing Street cat, Larry, is a brown and white tabby who has lived with two of Britain’s Prime Ministers - David Cameron and Theresa May.

But he is not the only feline friend to roam the streets of Westminster…

Palmerston cat

That’s right. There is room for two cats on the block.

Palmerston cat is the famous kitty who resides in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Palmerston has been associated with Boris Johnson, Philip Hammond and Jeremy Hunt in the past.

Grumpy cat

Just a few weeks ago we received the sad news that Grumpy Cat had passed away.

The unimpressed kitty became a trending internet topic when the unfortunate news was announced. The cat has long been a recognisable meme, so it was a sad day for all cat-lovers and meme-enthusiasts.

Cat Deeley

Cat Deeley is a very well-known television presenter, having hosted a variety of different shows including Stars in their Eyes.

She has also been involved in modelling, is a West Brom fan, and enjoys watching musicals in her spare time.

Atomic Kitten

The three-part girl band was made up of Kerry Katona, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon. They had some very popular hits back in the late nineties and early noughties, including the cover of popular title The Tide is High.

Cecil the Lion

In 2013 the world went into shock when it was revealed that a lion, named Cecil, had been shot dead by a dentist.

Walter Palmer - the man who shot Cecil with the deadly bow and arrow - was not charged for the killing as he held a licence. It’s fair to say that there were a lot of angry people when this happened.
