Celebrate the release of James Bond's Skyfall with a vodka Martini

James Bond is back next month in new film Skyfall, and if you want to emulate the spy, the best (and least dangerous!) way is by throwing on a sharp suit, and making his famous cocktail, the Martini.

Russian Standard Vodka and Harrods have teamed up to celebrate the release of the movie with the new premium vodka, Russian Standard Platinum. It's ideal for making a 007-style Martini, as it's super distilled, giving it a crisp flavour.

If you want to make your own Martini, you can buy a bottle of the Russian Standard Vodka Platinum from Harrods for (RRP £20.00). However, if you want to feel suave and order it in a bar, a variety of London venues are also serving the Platinum Martini, such as Skylon, Coq D’Argent, Boisdale, Hush and B-Soho.

In the last Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, James reveals his secret for the perfect Dry Martini, saying: "Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large slice of lemon-peel. Got it?"

This comes after the news this month that left many fans disappointed - that in new Bond flick Skyfall, the spy will swap his beloved vodka martini for a Heineken beer, as part of an advertising campaign.
