Sony have announced a new package, which will retail for $399.99 and includes the newest version of the PSVR headset, the PlayStation Camera peripheral, and an updated PSVR demo disc, as well as a copy of the game.

The official synopsis of 'Doom VFR' states: "'Doom VFR' transports you to the UAC facility on Mars and the depths of Hell, as your skills are put to the test through intense combat. Set shortly after the demonic invasion on the UAC's Martian research facility, you are the last known human survivor - until your death.

"Under a top-secret UAC operational contingency protocol, your consciousness is transferred to an artificial brain matrix. Your designated purpose: restore operational stability and use any means necessary to stop the onslaught of demons."

The game - based on the recent reboot of the franchise - can be played with either a DualShock 4 wireless controller, PlayStation Move controllers, or, to heighten the gaming experience, the PlayStation VR Aim Controller.

The new bundle is available for pre-order now, ahead of an onsale date of December 1.

The bundle comes shortly after the announcement of the PlayStation VR 'Skyrim VR' Bundle, which is out now at a cost of $449.99

That package comes with a copy of 'The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim VR', the PSVR headset, the PlayStation Camera, a disc of demo games and two Sony Move controllers.
