Fallout 4 has today officially been unveiled by Bethesda, taking on new platforms with the open-world series and now revealed a first look at the gaming universe players will be embedded in following release.
In this new post-apocolyptric world, glimpses are provided of strange new societies that have formed and the return of a dog companion.
Though little detail has been given including the game's setting and an official release date, the title will come to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Game director Todd Howard commented: "We know what this game means to everyone. The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We've never been more excited about a game, and we can't wait to share it."
Meanwhile, Bethesda have promised that fans will see more of Fallout 4 at E3 on Sunday, June 14.
Fallout 4 is the first game from Bethesda's internal Game Studios since 2011's Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
