The gaming world seems to be as exciting as ever this year (2022), with a great collection of new games releasing into the world. Get ready to face new and frightening enemies this October.
A gameplay trailer for Forspoken has been released by Square Enix, the company behind Tomb Raider (2013) and Marvel’s Avengers (2020), that showcases the game’s protagonist, Frey Holland, as she clashes with the world of Athia.
Luminous Productions are also working on this title, that sees Frey adventure through vast, open landscapes, and allows players a look at the stunning yet dangerous enemies that they will encounter as Frey.
Players will have powers like never before that they can utilise in order to take down anything that gets in their way.
The trailer, which was released yesterday (March 9th, 2022), highlights Frey’s new confidence as she decides to use her skills and knowledge to save Athia and its people. The hero must face many obstacles on her journey, and will need to get to grips with the odd place she has been transported to.
With the showcase, players get to see some of the wonderful and magical abilities Frey learns on her quest, including Storm Dart, which will allow players to dispel electrical energy in battle, along with the ability to control water.
The exciting gameplay footage also shows the unfortunate impact of the Break suffered by Athia, which is miasma that corrupts everything it comes in contact with, including creatures and humanity alike.
Players can expect to engage in battle with many daunting creatures, such as the earth-shaking Gigas, the flying Apsaravis and more.
We are also given a closer look at the fierce Dragon that “welcomes” Frey to Athia, in addition to Frey’s fast-paced magic parkour and combat skills as she evades the fearsome creature’s brute-force attacks during an intense confrontation.
Forspoken is designed for PlayStation 5, and will utilise the console’s full capabilities like never before in order to provide a sensation gaming experience.
Forspoken releases on October 11th, 2022 on PS5 and PC, and is available to pre-order now; The Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust story DLC will be available Spring 2023, following the game’s launch.
