Minecraft Console Edition owners will get a free 'Battle' mini game.

Microsoft has confirmed the console update will be the first of many short games set to come to the popular title next month.
'Battle', which is inspired by elements in Minecraft, will see players dropped into a scene and given a few seconds to grab a weapon from a chest before going up against other players in a death match.
The programme enables gamers to start a competitive game for up to eight players on pre-created maps with timers, a waiting room and will provide a split screen for up to four players.
'Battle' will be available on PlayStation, Xbox and Wii U versions of Minecraft but it will be a while before the software will enable gamers to create their own maps.
However, when the device goes live it will launch with three maps for free, additional Microsoft packs at a cost, as well as free updates with new gameplay options and features.
