The video game publishers are considering whether or not to launch a version of the hugely popular vehicular soccer game for the new Nintendo Switch console.

Psyonix Studios' Vice President Jeremy Dunham said: "Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We're looking to see what the technical requirements are. We're looking to see what kind of true community demand there is.

"We're looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we're still in that evaluation phase. It's definitely too early to say that it wouldn't happen, but it's also definitely too early to say that it would."

And the team at Psyonix are keeping an eye on the market to see if anyone is interested in seeing the video game made available on the hugely popular gaming console, which allows gamers to play their favourite video games at home or on the go.

He added to IGN: "I think we've shown over time we're a community-based company, and so what we're doing first is seeing what kind of impact that would have and who needs it and who wants the game and we'll go from there. Luckily the platform's only been out for a month, so we have plenty of time to look to see how it's doing and what our audience wants."

Meanwhile, 'Rocket League' was previously confirmed for PlayStation 4 Pro after developers worked out a way to enable the game to run at both 1080p (on a standard PS4) and 4K (on PS4 Pro) at 60 frames per second in all arenas for both single-player and two-player split-screen modes.
