EA have announced that they'll be extending the beta period of play until October 13, following its initial start on October 8 and expectations it would come to a close on Sunday night (October 11).

The developer have since revealed that additional tests they're running means they've added an extra day to the beta, in a statement on their website.

"As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure. These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run through Tuesday, October 13, which will add an additional day to the open beta.

"These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch."

Three different game modes are available in the beta across three of the title's different planets. Hoth houses the Walker Assault, whilst gamers can play Drop Zone on Sullust and Survival Mission on Tatooine.

Meanwhile, the full game's launch is set for November 20, when it'll come to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
