The publisher responsible for creating franchises such as 'Assassin's Creed', 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell' and 'Rayman' is already known to be bringing a new version of 'Just Dance' to the machine when it launches in March 2017.

Now Corre has let slip that they have "other surprises" in store for early adopters of the console, which he is tipping to revolutionise home entertainment.

He said: "We have other surprises that we will announce later, but we also believe Nintendo has the power to reinvent the way families are playing."

Corre's excitement about the NX follows Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot's positive comments about the device.

Guillemot said: "What we have seen is really great, so we think having a new machine coming is going to help the industry to continue to grow and to take lots more casual players back in the industry."

So far, there are four games confirmed for the Nintendo NX; 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild', 'Dragon Quest X', 'Dragon Quest XI', and 'Just Dance'.

Last week, leaked information suggested the Nintendo NX will be a handheld console which has its own display and detachable controllers bookended on either side.

The Japanese gaming giant has teased the console will be a "brand new concept".
