Telltale Games have this week released a brand new Minecraft: Story Mode trailer in anticipation of the release of the first episode coming to PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and iOS on October 13.
Titled 'The Order of the Stone', the episode will act as an introduction to the characters involved in the series as well as the overriding story and plot going ahead.
Featuring a cast of top voice talent, the videogame will see mythology expanded throughout the Minecraft universe and Mojang teaming up with Telltale could make for some exciting developments in the future.
Holding a World Premiere launch event on October 12 - the night before release - at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, the event is free for those interested and attendees will get the opportunity to watch a playthrough of the game's opening action on the big screen, in what the companies are dubbing as "the world's largest Let's Play".
Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1: 'The Order of the Stone' is available digitally worldwide on October 13, with the full season pass available in physical form at retail stores on October 27.
