Fans of huge gaming franchise World of Warcraft may want to keep gamescom 2015 as a note in their diary, as Blizzard have announced that they'll be revealing the new WoW expansion at the event on August 6, at 9am PDT.

Livestreaming the event and announcement online via Blizzard's gamescom page (blizzgc.com), fans will be able to tune in not only for that but again on August 9 at 8am PT for a World of Warcraft developer chat before the end of the show.

Gamers who play WoW were recently treated to a patch which opened a brand new questing zone called the Tanaan Jungle, as well as a brand new raid called the Hellfire Citadel.

Not much detail has been given about the expansion, so we'll all just have to wait and see what Blizzard has up their sleeves.

Meanwhile it was also recently revealed that a new cards expansion would be coming to Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft titled 'The Grand Tournament'.

Throughout August, new cards are being revealed and the cards themselves are expected to be released for purchase from around the last two weeks of the month.
