We've put together our top autumn cleaning tips, as well as how some brilliant new products from the Scotch-Brite Brand from 3M can help making cleaning feel less of a chore.

One job that needs doing is a thorough cleaning of all the windows. Pick a cloudy day for this, otherwise the sunlight will dry your cleaning product before you've had a chance to properly finish it. Cloudy days are also great for seeing all the smudges on your windows, however, if you use Scotch-Brite's Microfibre Cleaning & Dusting Cloth, you don't need to worry about this. The microfibre technology in the cloth meaning it leaves no smears, so you can get your windows sparkling.

Give your kitchen a complete going-over. Wash down your cupboards, and take everything out of them. If there's food that's out of date, or you're not going to use, throw it out, then reorganise the contents.

You also need to give your surfaces a proper clean, as these can harbour the most bacteria. If you have dried-on stains on your worktops, get rid of them with the Scotch-Brite Kitchen DUO - a brilliant little double-sided scourer and sponge. With the scourer side, you can remove the toughest of embedded dirt, while the non-scratch sponge side is perfect for general wiping down, as it won't ruin the shine on your surfaces.

The other main area that needs attention is your bathroom. Steam and general grime can combine here, meaning the place where you go to get clean can get very mucky. Dangerous bacteria can gather in the bottom of your bath or shower, so tackle this first. The Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch Tub and Shower Scrubber is ideal, as its clever shape means it easily conforms to the curves of your bath. It's also non-scratch, so your shower or bath will stay in great condition.

If you've not cleaned the grout in your bathroom since your spring clean, that will need doing, and dirt can get really ingrained in it. You need to be careful when tackling grout, as harsh products can easily damage it. Mix some baking soda with a little white wine vinegar, and then scrub it using the Grout Scrubber from Scotch-Brite. The scrubber has been designed especially for cleaning grout, so you're in safe hands.

Finally, go over appliances like your laptop, games console and music system with Scotch-Brite's Microfibre Hi-Tech Cloth. It's been specially created to be used on modern appliances, and will pick up the tiniest amounts of dust and dirt particles.
