Naomi Campbell Found 'peace' On Community Service.... Reformed supermodel Naomi Campbell enjoyed the "peace" away from her frantic life as she cleaned for New York's sanitation department as part of her community service.

The British beauty, 36, was sentenced to five days of cleaning in March as punishment for throwing a mobile phone at her former maid Ana Scolavino last year (06).

Excerpts of Campbell's diary during her community service will be published in America's W magazine next week (begs14May07).

She writes, "I have no other responsibility. I have no phone. I have the time to think. Just have, you know, peace."

Campbell bonded with one fellow worker in particular, who had previously suffered alcohol problems.

Campbell, a self-confessed former drug user, continues, "I bond with him and I tell him I'm in recovery.

"I first sought treatment for my addictions in 1999 and then went in and out of recovery. I'd be OK for a couple years and think I had things under control but then I would relapse.

"Some people can handle a drink or a line of cocaine but I've finally come to realize that, for me, it's all or nothing - and it has to be nothing. And my life has changed since."
