Helen Mirren proves that you can look good at any age

Many patients feel that they look better than they did when they were younger as a result of their surgery

With inspiration coming in the form of Helen Mirren, Madonna or Helena Christensen it's no wonder that women are feeling more confident than ever in later life. If they can look that good, then why can't you?

These people that are in the public eye and are over the age of 40, prove that age is just a number and you can look your best whatever your age - ofcourse a little hardwork has to be put in.

The Harley Medical Group have reported a 17 per cent increase in women in their 40's and 50's booking in for treatments - age-defying treatments to help them look as young and confident as they feel.

Lisa Littlehales, specialist nurse counsellor at the Harley Medical Group says: ""We've always seen women come in for Botox and Fillers on their face, to combat the signs of ageing, but more and more women are cottoning on to other areas of their bodies such as their neck, hands and breasts, that are their real age giveaways.

"This is something that is also noticeable in celebs such as Madonna, who has a great body, but whose hands are her age giveaway and Arlene Phillips, whose face is smooth but whose neck is her age giveaway. Like celebs, British women are feeling empowered later in life to tackle these issues head on, allowing their inner 'vixen' to be revealed and feeling even better than they did 20 years ago, as a result."

So, the Harley Medical Group reveal the top five age giveaways, in a bid to arm women with the knowledge that they need in order to maintain their 'Silver Vixen' status.

Mr Frati, surgeon at the Harley Medical Group says: "Apart from the obvious signs of ageing that are shown on the surface of the skin and can be tackeled by non-surgical treatment, loss of collagen causing sagging is also a huge indicator of age.

"Many patients feel that they look better than they did when they were younger as a result of their surgery."
