The Oscar winning sensation beat Breakfast At Tiffany's star, and one of the world's most beautiful women, Audrey Hepburn into second place.
According to The Sun, The Revolutionary Road actress was hailed for having "a classic English rose complexion without needing lots of make-up to look stunning".
In the poll completed by 3,000 men and women, Brit Kate beat Kelly Brook into third place, followed by Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole.
Surprisingly, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson who were also in the list, featured much lower down, despite Ange being voted as the most beautiful woman in the world recently by Vanity Fair.
