One Direction have recently announced their plans for a make-up range with MUA cosmetics, but will it be received well by women?

New research has found that 52% of young women believe that celebrity branded beauty products and ranges are not good value for money.

But, it would seem that quality doesn’t matter, as the majority still admitted that they had purchases products from these ranges.

George Charles of VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, who conducted the study, said: “Every week, there seems to be a new beauty range from a new celebrity. With the news of a new beauty range from pop group One Direction, we were interested in discovering whether or not celebrities play a part in shoppers’ purchasing decisions. It came as of a bit of a shock when we received the results, where many women claimed that they found these beauty products of lesser quality than normal beauty ranges, but some still continued to purchase them.”

The average money spent of celebrity beauty products was £53, and 34% believed the ranges are poor quality and 29% admitted that there is too much hype surrounding them.
