Colonic massage just what it says- a massage. It's non-invasive and pain free and you can even do it yourself in the comfort of your own home. Female First tell you how:

How to Give Yourself a Colonic Massage

Starting on the right side down near your appendix massage using small circular or short movements, in one direction, moving up towards your rib cage. This is the direction your waste matter travels in your colon- nice!

It's probably best to start off gently and increase your pressure over a few days.

By starting near your appendix you are also strengthening your ileocecal valve. . This is the gateway between your small intestine and your colon. By strengthening this valve you will make sure nasty waste does not move backward into the small intestine.

Massaging this area will also move any bits of waste that can get stuck there. It may sound gross but moving these blockages along will stop bacteria build up and inflammation of the bowels.

Once you’vemoved up the body you need to massage the left outer point of the rib cage before moving downward towards the groin again.

Taking just 2-3 minutes to do this massage every day will prevent constipation, give you a healthy digestive system and you will start feel more healthy in general.

Catch Supersize Vs Superskinny every Tuesday from 8pm on Channel 4
