Amy Adams wearing a beautiful Fred Leighton necklace

Amy Adams has proved her right in Hollywood, she has a string of successful films, two Oscar nominations and has worked with Hollywood greats like Meryl Streep.

The beautiful red head has also proved her worth on the red carpet, and with Carolina Herrara and Roland Mouret on speed dial why wouldn't she?

Whether dressing for luncheons or the big awards shows, she rarely puts a Jimmy Choo foot wrong. Adams' maternity wardrobe nothing short of fabulous either, stepping out in beautiful gowns, that caressed her growing baby bump.

The release of her latest film The Fighter in February, we can expect plenty of photo opportunities of the mother-of-one and that means plenty of wardrobe inspiration. Adams' was also recently BAFTA nominated for her role in the film, so expect a fairytale gown at England's most prestigious film award ceremony.

She certainly knows how to wear them, after she starred in Disney's Enchanted. She ran through New York dressed in a Princess gown, layers galore. This was the film that put her onto everybody's radar, she got to showcase her singing and acting talents in the film and has enjoyed nothing short of success since its release in 2007.

The 36 year-old is currently filming The Muppets new movie, in which she stars with Emily Blunt, Zach Galifianakis, Big Bird, Miss Piggy and the rest.

Stepping out onto the Red Carpet this year, Adams has proved that she most certainly is a yummy mummy. She gave birth to her daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo in May last year, whom she had with fiancée Darren Le Gallo. She kicked off Awards Season with an appearance at the AFI Awards in Los Angeles (above, right). Here she wore a forest green, Elie Saab structured dress. The mid length dress, hugged her curves and small designs details made this simple dress shine. The green colour goes perfect with her hair colour and milky-skin. She paired the look with simple Sergio Rossi black heels and a grey glittering clutch.

At last years Golden Globes, the Italian born star was pregnant when she attended (above, left). This however did not stop her in the style stakes. Her maternity wardrobe was as lustworthy as her pre-mother one. Again she wore a green dress, this time custom-made by Carolina Herrera. The silk faille dress was paired with burnt orange shoes and matching bag and a brooch that came from Herrara's personal collection. Jealous?

Her latest appearance, and mostly certainly not the last in the Award Season, was Sunday's Golden Globes (right), where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Fighter. She lost out on the award to her co-star Melissa Leo. The teal structured gown was designed by Marchesa, not something we usually see by Georgina Chapman, who seems to have little restraint when it comes to the theory of 'less is more'. But the laser cut, scalloped edge gown was in no doubt beautiful. Sticking to her dark sea colours, Amy knows what works for her and her skin tone, she looked radiant. The loose up-do and polished make-up made her sparkle, like the Cartier jewels that she was wearing.

The Fighter is released 2nd February
