Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway

When we saw Anne Hathaway step out in her gorgeous monochrome gown at the Critics Choice Awards we marvelled at the great structured piece.

Structured dresses are big news now so Anne, who stepped out in the Gianfranco Ferre back in January, was well ahead of the trends. The asymmetrical style of it along with the monochrome colour palette means it scores a hat trick.

The dress looks like a traditional white gown from one side but the black side panel adds a real creative twist making the dress a stand out piece. The pleating detail is also a great trend for the summer season.

We might not have Anne's bank balance but thanks to Ben de Lisi we can steal her style as he has created the perfect look-a-like of this dress.

Ben's version is still a bit pricey at £160 but will be a great investment buy as the colour means it works any season. In summer brave bare legs and in winter wrap up with a cardie and black tights.

Snap up this version at Debenhams, complete with patent waist belt, to cheat your way to A-list style.
