Thierry Mugler has unveiled his new warrior look for Beyonce's upcoming tour.
The designer was charged with creating the gorgeous singer's stage outfits, and apparently he was intent on channeling the gladiatorial look for Beyonce's alter-ego, Sasha Fierce.
He commented to WWD that his sketches and designs were all about "The duality between being a woman and a warrior," which makes perfect sense considering Beyonce's dual stage personalities.
Mugler continued: "Sasha Fierce is another aspect of Beyoncé’s personality. She is Fierce on stage and Beyoncé in real life. I tried to understand these two sides with my own perception of both aspects."
She won't remain in her warrior guise for long however, as the designer hinted to WWD: "There will be a lot of dramatization and metamorphosis on stage."
The fashion designer has had quite a job in his creative adviser role, working on everything from the show's visual aspects, to making sure Beyonce's vision is incorporated into the mix as well.
He describes the costumes as "very elaborate," and rooted in the songs’ meanings, reports WWD. "Feminine. Free. Warrior. Fierce. As a creative adviser for this tour, it is my responsibility to make her vision come true," Mugler added.
