Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore doesn't always get the fashion praise she deserves, so last night at the premiere of her new movie, Grey Gardens we're very happy to report that she shone in her style choice.

Clearly taking some inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood, Drew glammed it up to the max in a nude embellished Alberta Ferretti gown, Fred Leighton jewels, Roger Vivier heels and a netted flower hair accessory.

It's the kind of look that works well on the Hollywood elite, although we're not convinced it could work on every wannabe starlet.

Drew's newly dyed blonde locks, paired with her pale skin and body to-die-for, completes her style transformation that she has been steadily undergoing over the past few years.

Even her hair and make-up are a season ahead of everyone else! Working the dark plum lipstick with smudged eyes and red nails was a totally style triumph and we loved this sophisticated look on Drew.

To be fair it's normally a look reserved for the likes of Scarlett Johansson, so to see former lover of rock fashion, really glamming it up, and looking stunning in doing so is a great achievement.

The wavy locks also deserve a mention, as the demi-wave is big news for the season ahead, and here Drew has nailed the look by keeping the waves soft and simple.

Our only criticism is the netted flower hair accessory, as the look itself is pretty busy, without adding anything else to it, so perhaps that was a style step too far.

That said it did work overall with the look Drew was going for, but we're seriously hoping that her gorgeous fur stole was a fake, otherwise she may lose serious style points from us.

After her stunning Golden Globes debut in that powder blue off the shoulder number, and her cute black and pink bow dress she wore to her last film premiere, we think it's safe to say Drew is officially our new style crush!
