Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's

We look to celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss for fashion influence but where do the stars get their inspiration from? From other celebrities of course.

FemaleFirst will take a look at those celebrities, so iconic that they have inspired their fellow stars. Today we look at Audrey Hepburn.

The 1960s actress is one of the biggest style icons of our time.

Victoria Beckham has herself admitted that Audrey Hepburn is her idol and her style can be seen to be influenced by the actress. Victoria is often snapped in simple, block colour shift dresses, like Audrey often wore.

Audrey also pioneered the little black dress when she appeared as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's and Posh has always been a dedicated wearer of the little black dress since her early Spice Girl days.

Audrey's look is legendary in fashion schools and her poses are often imitated by celebrities. The Xtra Factor presenter Holly Willoughby recently recreated Audrey's look for a magazine. With the little black dress, string of pearls and beehive hairstyle, Holly looked every inch the superstar.

Audrey's role in Breakfast at Tiffany's also saw her character wearing supersized shades, be it day or night. This look has now become a celebrity staple with the likes of Nicole Ritchie and the Olsen twins often spotted in their huge sunglasses.

Audrey's look often incorporated a cinched in at the waist trench coat, a classic look that has come back into fashion in recent years. Lily Allen has the Audrey look down to a tee with this black trench which she wore at a Chanel catwalk show earlier this year.

The actress was also before her time with her choice of footwear, she snubbed stiletto heels in favour of, the very modern, ballet pumps. Audrey was a fan of as they were as practical as they were sophisticated, made for long days of working on her feet.

Looking at the ballet pumps and the beehive up do Audrey often wore, we can't help but think we've found someone else inspired by the actress...Amy Winehouse.
