Ashley Madekwe consistently gets it right on the red carpet

Ashley Madekwe was our best dressed newcomer of 2012, and she certainly hasn’t disappointed us during 2013, she was a clear winner of this award about half way through the year when she consistently stepped out on the red carpet looking incredibly flawless and polished to perfection.

But it isn’t just red carpet looks that we get to envy from the actress, thanks to her successful style blog, Ring my Bell, we get plenty of street style looks to imitate too.

She started off the year with a beautiful Naeem Khan long-sleeve gown at the 2013 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala held in January. The dazzling backless dress was fully embellished and she chose to wear the look with a retro updo and a dark burgundy lip.

The great thing about Ashley is that she doesn’t shy away from colour either, wearing bright pink Versace, a printed J. Mendel outfit or her blue Monique Lhuillier dress to name just a few looks.

And like most women, she has a love for Topshop too. This year a few of the looks we’ve lusted after include the textured bodycon dress she wore, the printed dungarees and of course, most recently the tartan print trousers and top she wore to the Topshop at The Grove Holiday celebration. Let’s not forget the Topshop number she wore to this year’s Met Gala either.

Two of our favourite looks from the star this year are the aqua Cushnie et Ochs scuba dress with cut-out she wore to the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards and then the mustard-yellow Diane von Furstenberg jumpsuit she wore to the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree. She paired the halter jumpsuit with deep plunge with a chic vintage Chanel No. 5 belt – something she self-confessed to having an obsession with via her Instagram.

Ashley manages to always get it right in the style department, and we don’t expect her to disappoint in 2014 either.
