Cheryl Fernandez-Versini

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been hailed our top trendsetter, thanks to her stylish wardrobe.

The singer topped the list of celebrity style icons that British women turn to for inspiration, and unsurprisingly men turn to David Beckham for some fashion influence.

Thankfully we’re set to see plenty more fashion inspiration whilst she judges on the recently returned X Factor.

VoucherCodes.co.uk lifestyle editor Anita Naik, who conducted the research, said: "It's interesting to see it's the wholesome household names rather than the world's sophisticated supermodels Brits are most likely to turn to for fashion inspiration.

"Brits are proud of our famous faces so it's no surprise that a third of us seek to emulate celeb fashion looks, with the nation's sweetheart Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and footballing legend Becks named the UK's top trendsetters."

Cheryl is followed closely by 'We're The Millers' actress Jennifer Aniston in second place and, somewhat surprisingly, Dame Helen Mirren in third.

Jennifer Aniston came in 2nd in the poll

'Loose Women' panellist Myleene Klass was also deemed one of the top ten style icons, with Kelly Brook in fifth place followed by Pippa Middleton, Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Yasmin Le Bon and Jessie J.

Meanwhile, Victoria's retired soccer star husband David was cited as the top style inspiration for men with Bradley Cooper coming in second and George Clooney in third.

Bradley Cooper came in 2nd in the poll on the men's list

Pharrell Williams, Noel Gallagher, Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tinie Tempah, Justin Timberlake and Pixie Lott's model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire completing the list of male style icons.
