Was Jaimie Alexander's dress too revealing or just enough sexy?

Jaimie Alexander made a bold choice on the red carpet

Jaimie Alexander made a risque choice on the red carpet this week, showing a lot more skin than we're used to seeing, but did her look pay off? Or just look tacky?

The actress was on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Thor: The Dark World, in which she stars. She chose a long-sleeved Spring 2014 Azzaro floor-length gown.

Doesn't sound to revealing now does it? But the long mesh panel which runs from the neck down to the floor, on both the front and the back, reveals a lot more than we would usually expect to see on the red carpet, or out in public for that matter. 

Smoky eyes, drop earrings and an updo completed the fuss-free look, but it's hard to notice anything else really when there is so much skin on show.

Yes she has an amazing figure, but had the dress not included a mesh panel we still could have seen this. And whilst there have been plenty of celebrities willing show the fact that they're not wearing underwear on the red carpet, Gwyneth Paltrow included, this look takes it that step too far. 

I can imagine this look having been worn to a music awards ceremony at least, but to a premiere it feels a little too much.
