Ensure that the strap around your rib cage is firm but comfortable.

When you look side-on in a mirror, the strap should be sitting horizontally and is equal distant between your neck and waist (in other words it shouldn’t ride up at the back).

The bridge of the bra - the area between the cups - should sit flat against your skin and you should not be able to get a finger underneath there.

Your breasts should be enclosed in the cups

You should have a smooth line where the fabric at the top of the cup ends and meets your bust.

You shouldn't have any ridges or bulging over the top or sides of the cups, even if you are wearing a balconette or low-cut style.
