Anne Hathaway is New Face of Lancome

Anne Hathaway has been named as a new ambassador for the Lancome beauty empire.

The actress was announced yesterday as the latest addition to the brand's celebrity faces- which already includes Clive Owen and Kate Winslet- after months of speculation that she would land the job.

"Anne Hathaway is a radiant young woman who perfectly embodies modern femininity," said Odile Roujol, president of Lancôme International, in a statement as the news was announced.

The Princess Diaries star Anne will launch Lancome's new fragrance later in the year.

"We know she will portray all the passion and excitement of our new fragrance, to be launched throughout the world in September 2008," says RoujolCaz Moss- Female First
