Christian Dior celebrated their 60th Anniversary with a fashion extravanganza ball.

Legendary fashion names were treated to an exclusive show of Dior's Autumn/Winter haute couture collections at the event which was held at the Orangerie of Versailles royal palace.

The party also marked designer John Galliano's 10th year as the creative head of the house.

The fashion brand, adored by the rich and famous, used the occasion to reflect on its evolution from Christian Dior's 1947 New Look to Galliano's theatrical dresses.

Gibraltar-born Galliano introduced a special anniversary collection of dresses inspired by great artist including Picasso andand Renoir. The creations were all expertly was modelled by the likes of Gisele Bundchen and Naomi Campbell.

Galliano has always had tons of celebrity fans throughout his reign at Dior.

“He really understands how women want to feel. When I wear his clothes I feel so feminine. He's not afraid to make a woman look sexy," said Charlize Thereon, the face of J'adore perfume.
