Fashion Week Honours Isabella Blow

Fashion's finest paid their last respects to Isabella Blow at a private memorial service held today as part of London Fashion Week.

US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Stella McCartney and photographer Mario Testino were amoung those who turned out to pay tribute the 'hat queen' for her massive contribution to the fashion industry.

Blow, one of the industry's great eccentrics who launched the careers of top models and designers, died at the age of 48 in May

She had been renowned for helping discover Philip Treacy, one of the world's most famous milliners, and launching the career of British designer Alexander McQueen as well as numerous models and designers.

Treacy was also present at the service at at Guards Chapel near St James's Park along Lily Cole and Tara Palmer Tomkinson.

Before her death Blow was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and she also suffered from depression. An inquest into her death was told she died from a drug overdose. Later reports said she had drunk weedkiller.
