Janie Hendrix- sister of rock legend Jimi- has been working with a Hollywood clothes designer to create a tribute fashion line.
Gina Alexander, famous for her photo-print handbags has designed a collection of jackets and bags in a Jimi Hendrix Collection.
The line consists of five leather jackets, 12 distressed leather handbags, and 16 mid market handbags, according to Alexander.
Each item in the range features one of three rare images of the legendary guitarist, including onstage shots from his 1968 shows at San Francisco's Winterland venue.
Janie, who is president/CEO of Experience Hendrix, says fans have been asking for high-end fashions for quite some time. "And we now have more women as fans," she adds.
Gina thinks fans want more than the average rock star souvenir these days: "With this line, we're giving the Jimi Hendrix name something stylish and couture, and not just another T-shirt," she said.
