Karl Lagerfeld collaborates with Macy's
Fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld has inspired many collections over the years. His work on the runway has been the talk of the industry on more than one occassion.
Now the master is about to put his high-end fashion to one side in favour of another highstreet collaboration. This time with the infamous department store, Macys.
The capsule collection will be out frm 31 August with prices starting at the affordable and uncharacteristically low $50 (£30).
Lagerfeld is no stranger to collaborations as she has put his name to many collections before including ones with H&M, Hogan and Diesel. He says that he is a lover of 'occassional co-branding' and sees this as a test of how to do these clothes at these low prices.
Thinking of the average America, the Chanel designer thinks that working with Macy's is a great idea as 'everybody can find what they are looking for without ruining their budget.'
45 limited edition styles will be coming to the store including a range of designs and trends, including tweed, statement jackets and printed T-shirts. There will also be a collection of dresses that will come in styles to accentuate the feminine figure and straight lines tuxedo creations.
