Kelly Osbourne was on the judging panel for the Mary Moore Textile prize recently.

The star was one of four judges including designer Nicole Farhi at the ceremony, which was held at the Chelsea College of Art and Design.

She said;" I barely knew anything about fabric and materials used in fashion before I came here."

" But young talent really is one of the most important parts of fashion- that’s why I wanted to come here tonight."

Students were asked to design a coat with a modern take on vintage using the silhouette of a forties or sixties dress. Vogue reported that Osbourne presented the prize to Anna Bosio for her innovative and vivid use of colour.

Kelly, who presents fashion reality television show Project Catwalk, added:" I think the UK is really good at promoting up- and – coming talent"
