Olsen Twins Create Menswear Line

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have announced that their clothing range, The Row, will soon expand into menswear, Vogue.com reports.

The range is aimed at older, masculine men and has taken inspiration from the twins favourite menswear designers including Lanvin and Tom Ford.

Ashley said: "When we looked in the men's market, we couldn't really find basics you could wear with designer - the same concept as our women's. So we started the process with pants and blazers, because we knew it would take time to get that right."

Vogue says that the pieces will be developed "with the same premise and aesthetic as the women's collection".

It is not a budget friendly range with T-shirts starting at $200 and prices going up to over $3000 for a coat and the Olsens insist that they will not be promoting the range themselves despite the high prices. Ashley said: "I prefer to be behind the scenes because I really believe the product can speak for itself.
