If you've ever fancied getting your hands on Marilyn Monroe's swimsuit or one of Elton John's stage suits today could be the day as a number of celebrity outfits are auctioned off.

The auction also includes, Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze pouch bag, John Lennon's dressing gown, Madonna's police hat but the big piece is Michael Jackson's outfit from the Bad video.

The leather jacket and trousers worn in the 1987 video are expected to go for £35,000 at the auction in California.

The jacket was custom made and features 11 gold police style badges and dozens of silver buckles and crests. It will be sold with a  belt featuring the 'Bad' logo made of hundreds of crystals.

A spokesman for auction house Profiles: "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get your hands on the most iconic costume in pop history."
