Michelle Obama earned huge amounts of praise for her outfits early on in her husbands presidential campaign but now three months in critics are beginning to turn on her.
Designer Arnold Scaasi, who has dressed five former first ladies, including Jackie Kennedy, told WWD: "She's great looking, she has a great personality and she's obviously very bright. But...something is amiss.
"Obviously, she doesn't have the right advice at this moment. [She should] pick some designers and deal directly with them."
He added: "As [the wife of] the head of the most important country in the world, you must dress at some points according to protocol [but] you don't have to be conventional."
