Former Project Catwalk winner Kirsty Doyle, will this week take the pop-up boutique to her home town of Liverpool.

The craze for pop-up boutiques is fast growing. They appear out of nowhere then as quickly as it appeared it disappears.

Chanel ran with the idea, opening a pop-up boutique in New York's Central Park and Commes Des Garcons temporarily sold tailored suits in downtown LA.

Kirsty told the Liverpool Daily Post how the pop-up boutique benefits customers and designers.

"They are also a way for designers to communicate with their customer. Most of the time, you sell to someone who then sells it on again, so you never get to deal with them personally. This way, you get instant feedback."

"No-one will have seen anything like this before in Liverpool," she adds. "Chanel did one in New York which people said was amazing, and they pop up all the time in warehouses in London and in Dover Street market."

"They're about generating excitement and giving people something they can't get anywhere else."

There will be around 90 pieces on sale from Kirsty’s collection, along with three very special exclusive dresses.

The boutique is open tomorrow and Saturday at Grey Space, on Water Street.
