Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that a Sex And The City sequel will begin filming in mid 2009.
The actress revealed all after months of unconfirmed reports and whispers that a sequel was even on the cards.
She confirmed that she and co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all reprise their famous roles once again.
Parker commented: "I think shooting next summer is a realistic timetable, thatâs when weâd start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months."
It's fair to say this news will cause many ladies to rejoice at the thought of a sequel, but Parker has also revealed that she doesn't yet know what is in store for the famous Manhattan four.
"We've had very general conversations about the idea. Thatâs the big hurdle: the idea," she revealed
"We're at the place where the writer and director, Michael Patrick King, has a wealth of stories so now it's, 'We think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that itâs the right thing to do?'"
The first movie, which was released in May this year was a huge success and saw Carrie Bradshaw finally getting her Mr Big down the aisle. We're all wondering whether the next feature will see Carrie dealing with the pitter patter of tiny feet?
Parker is less optimistic: "It doesn't seem as if thatâs going to be a choice she'll make. I don't know. Michael and I never talk about it. That doesn't mean that won't be part of the story. We just haven't figured it out. It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix, because she seems so pointed in a different direction."
