Sheryl Crow is helping sufferers of cancer by supporting a new charity shoe sale.

The rocker, who successfully battled breast cancer last year (06), is urging fans to tune into a TV shoe sale on U.S. shopping channel QVC, which will benefit cancer research charities

She will be appearing in a number of adverts promoting the Ffany Shoes on Sale event.

The 44-year-old underwent a minimally invasive procedure to remove a lump in her breast followed by a course of radiation therapy last year.

"I'm the walking poster child for mammograms. I'm just taking care of myself right now," she said after leaving hospital.

"I'm really dedicating my life to getting back on my feet, living in a really healthy way and appreciating life."

The Ffany Shoes on Sale event takes place on 17 October.
